to keep this as simple as possible...
my main issue with "proshipping" lies with the community itself specifically. i feel there's a fundamental and intentional lack of consent involved with how members of the "community" handle themselves.
i think it's wrong and highly insensitive to try and broadly claim everyone is ~actually~ a proshipper by moving arbitrary goalposts every week.
furthermore, i have encountered an overwhelming amount of proshippers who seem to care more about coming off as edgy perverts than anything of actual substance - they make "proshipping" their entire personality.
i find it insanely annoying!
i believe fiction is ultimately fiction.
dark subjects in fiction have their place. i dont think these subjects should be censored.
if someone wants to write or draw certain subjects, that's their prerogative. they should be mindful of where they post/display it.
if someone is "into" certain things and explores them through fiction, that's their business.
however.
1. i can still find certain subjects disgusting for my own personal reasons and not want it anywhere near me.
2. i do not trust anyone who incessantly lusts after fictional minors and similar types of weirdos. ("If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck...")
